Good morning everyone.  Sorry I've been missing in action, but I learned 3 weeks ago that my step mother was under hospice care.  She passed over a week ago and we had the service this past Thursday.  Needless to say I'm a wreck.  Prayers for my father and I and her family are appreciated.  I'm slowly coming to the conclusion that I NEED to get back to my business of taking care of the living (especially as it relates to my eating).  Anyway...let's hear it!!

S: Coffee
L: Chicken Leg; Salad
S: Chicken Leg
D: Shrimp Curry w/kelp noodles

You are going to think it's totally lame but it was just funny to me at the time.

I was never really a huge Beyonce fan but I took a liking to her latest album ... a lot.  I sampled some of her videos from that album on iTunes that were cool and some kinda touched my heart too.  hee hee.  So I was kinda on this big Beyonce kick where I was obsessed with listening to this CD.  Then I read about how she made a wish came true to a terminally ill young gal by having this gal attend her concert.  US Weekly posted the video on their site so I tuned in and watched it.  Beyonce was on this high swing that brought her directly to this young gurl in the crowd who was in a wheelchair.  You can see this little girls face light up as Beyonce told her hello & how she was so happy to see here there.  Then Beyonce started jammin' on the one by swinging her hair around & singing directly to the girl who was in tears, loving every second of it.  Geezuz, it melted my heart to see this young gal & her reaction!!! Then I heard some chick on the radio call into a radio station about what she should do about her BF who she thought was cheating on her.  Well, DJ Ryan Seacrest had to ask her, "What would Beyonce Do"??  And I was like Whaaaaat?!?!?  And he was quick to say because Beyonce seems to have a heart of gold yet she can be a major ***** who doesn't mess around.  She won't let anyone F with her.  I felt empowered like Beyonce, LOL!  Sweet yet with an mean streak (only when pushed) so I thought it was funny and added it to my sig line (since I don't have one).

I know, I'm a dork!!!!!  But I still think of WWBD when I feel the need to put my guard up.  :)

So sorry to hear of the passing of your Step-Mother. It is such a stressful time with a family death..so much to do it is hard to focus on your grief let alone your eating. You are so smart to get a handle on this now it is so easy to let weeks and months slip by before you realize how off track food as become . My prayers for you and your family.

Very, very sorry for your family's pain.  Prayers and best wishes to all of you.

I'm so exhausted today and I'm not sure why.  My guess is the switch from night to days...starting back on my 2 weeks of day shifts tomorrow.  Luckily I get a few days of vacation...going to see my son in TX!  Very excited!

B - Tilapia, Laughing Cow, and Egg

L - Drinking a protein shake right now and will probably call it lunch

D - Reuben Casserole made w/o the rye bread.  Happy St. Patrick's Day, friends!
