You're lucky to be getting the rash...run to the doctor to get documentation for plastic surgery. I had three c-sections, hysterectomy and have a little hangover skin but haven't developed any rashes to document the need for plastic surgery. I would love to have plastics but must have insurance cover it...and I can't 'catch' a rash to save my soul.

Seriously, sorry about your pain...go to the doctor. There is nothing to b embarrassed about.

I also wanted to add some advice I received after my C-section for really hot days-- roll up a washcloth and let it sit under your apron to absorb the sweat that will happen. They also suggested using pads there, but I did not like that so much. haha. Get that butt paste! That stuff is amazing!! Bu****ch when it ends up, it does stain.

LOL I used that stuff all the time on my kiddo's fanny. :)  I may try to do that stuff once the angry redness dissipates.  I just feel like a huge loser for some reason that I have this.... but it helps me feel better that I'm not alone in any of it!  You all are so awesome!!!

PS - I think the asterisks are SUPER funny when you're spelling a normal word and they "think" it's a bad word! :)

Thanks for all the advice.  I called the surgeon's office and they said I could put cream on it, which I did, but I think I should probably get it documented by the doctor..but should I go to the surgeon, or should  I go to my regular doctor?   I dont know if I'll end up getting any type of cosmetic surgery, but I can't say that for sure now, so I figure it's best to have it documented anyway, just in case.

If it were me I'd go to my regular doc.

Hi: Had a bit of a rash after surgery. I use Zine oxide formula and it clears it up right away, or you can use Raw Shea Butter Lotion, I've used both and they work great.

Took care of it at home with over the counter stuff.

Rash-less in Florida.

Go to the doc and get it documented all proper like- it will help you later to become eligible for the insurance paying for plastic surgery.

I called my regular doctor's office today and they were like "call your surgeon".  I told them that this isn't a "surgery" related issue, and that I wanted to see my doc.  She was like "welll.. okay I guess.  I have an opening on Thursday."  Grr..  so I took the appt for Thursday and will have to just endure the embarassment.  If I ever plan on having it removed... at least I will be thankful.  In the meantime.. I'm sooo itchy :(
