Thank you God, I'm cleared for real food
I thought I was going to die on all that liquid and gross things like yogurt and protein shakes that my sleeve does not agree with. So far I've had a stick of colby jack cheese and that's a lot compared to the fact that I was barely getting 250 calories on the liquid/pureed stage...so glad that's over. Tomorrow I plan to have egg whites for breakfast...whooo hooo, maybe even tuna fish for lunch...the world is my oyster
Don't be surprised if you don't enjoy some of your foods now. I'm 9 weeks post-op and I still can only eat about 2.5 ounces of dense protein. Sometimes I love it and sometimes it's a chore that I just have to do, even when I could care less. I'm like you though--I don't like to pu**** I've only had a couple of things disagree with me. thankfully I never threw up, but I had a couple hours of discomfort and misery. I've learned to stop at a certain point when my body gives the signal. I know that if I keep eating because it tastes good or I'm trying to get extra protein in, I will pay for it.
Hope you enjoy your egg whites.
