pain in my chest and back

Yes, I had that chest pain radiating to the back. I had to sit upright the entire time I was in the hospital and I could barely drink at all. I had a hard time walking because my oxygen levels kept dropping and I felt like I was going to have to lie down on the floor and catch my breath. I also had intense pain in my left shoulder and up the left side of my neck. That was referred pain, pain that is not actually in that site (shoulder, neck) but is caused by pressure on the diaphragm from the gas they put in me during the surgery. Interestingly, I still get that shoulder and neck pain if I eat to fast or something gets stuck.  I'm 6wks postop now, so it's getting better finally.
