Thanks everyone for your encouraging words. I'm not worried about the test at all just was annoyed that I JUST found out now that I need to do this test and it falls in the beginning of my 2 week liquid diet that I'm not looking forward too...

Yes, and I was on my pre-op diet at the time. It wasn't a big deal.

Yep, I had to have one too. That is when they found my hernia. I was nothing by mouth after midnight . I ate a very light dinner the night before though, just to be on the safe side. As for that pre op diet everyone dreads, I just went through it, and I promise you it isn't as bad as you think it will be. It sucks, don't get me wrong, but if I managed to do it, I know anyone can. I actually started feeling pretty good halfway into it. I lost 20 pounds on mine, so anytime I starting daydreaming about food I'd run to the scale and see another pound lost. That was motivation for me :D I hope everything goes well with you!!!

I am having one on Monday. My surgeon told me that it was to test for H. pylori. It is standard procedure for him. Good luck on your surgery!
