5 years after having Weight Loss Surgery
thanks for your post. My biggest fear is gaining it back. got to stay committed.
Hi,
You will not regain it if you stick to your lifestyle changes you make while losing weight. It would be easy to go back to old habits. You have to maintain your lifestyle change. You also have to retrain your brain that the old habits were NOT healthy and you never want to go back there again! You can and will be success.

Thank you so much for posting! I had surgery with Dr. Aceves just over 2 months ago, so I'm still very much at the beginning. I absolutely love reading posts from people who had surgery with him a year or more ago... for some reason those post**** home with me just a little bit more. I also want to say that even more inspirational than your weight loss and maintenance is the fact that you walked EVERY DAY FOR A YEAR without missing a day!! That is amazing! Congrats on your success, and thanks again for your post!
Hi Bella,
Awww gee thanks, I just want you to know that one of these days you will be able to say these same things. I am always here if you need help with anyone or are just having a hard time. You can always send me a person E-mail and my address is [email protected]. Each day it gets better and easier. The walking is something I am very proud of. I HATED to exercise and now it makes me feel good.
Hugs,

I have so many people chirping negative comments in my ear such as post op complications, gaining the weight back, risks of death. I have a LOT of cheerleaders but I wish people would quit trying to frighten me. Your post was a huge reminder that I need to stay the course and keep my eye on the prize so, thank you for sharing your uplifting story!

Hi,
Pay no attention to the people who want to scare you, and are negative. Most of the time they are jealous, or have not educated themselves about what Weight Loss Surgery is really like. YOU have to DO what is best for YOU. This is Not about them, this is all about you and NO one else. You can and will be very successful. I am always out here to help you along with your journey. Hugs, and I am glad that my story was uplifting to you. I am a real person who had some of these same comments and from my own family too. But, I just smiles and said to them, thanks for you opinion. And did what was best for ME. You do the same thing, they can our are not willing to listen to what you have to say.
