Maintenance Question -- Vets would appreciate your feedback

I hit my personal goal weight in May 2013 and started to increase calories with continued focus on proteins, vegetables and added in fruit,  nuts and continued to lose another 10 pounds. Now have been stable weight +/-  1 to 2 lbs ; am currently getting around 1300-1400 calories a day by eating 6 meals a day (with at least one protein shake/day) and not forcing my sleeve.

Would appreciate Vets input on what percentage of protein, fat, carbs (healthy) others follow in maintenance.

Thank you in advance for your expertise!

Barb

I don't have specific numbers, but I try to get about 80-100 grams of protein in a day and I eat healthy fats in moderation.  I try to keep my carbs under 80 but sometimes I go much higher.  I eat about 1500 calories a day, some days more, some days less.  I think in maintenance, we each have to find our own balance and what we can do for life.  What you are doing seems to be working well for you.

Sounds like your doing fine !

If you keep your cals in check at that level and your diet is protein dominate.....

Your carbs and fats should be in a good zone also.

The key for you at this time is to is to come up with a "baseline" that is known to be close to your balance point...... also never forget about your WL baseline.

With these two "known baselines" with minor adjustments...... these will be your "settings" for long term maintenance.

"Not forcing your sleeve" insures keeping maximum restriction for the long haul.

Your doing great !
