The Weight is Just Dripping Off! Really.
Ahhh. The joy of being almost a year out and still 15 pounds from goal! I've increased my exercise, but along with that, my appetite has increased -- so it's a constant struggle!
Still, I am below the lowest weight I ever got to on Atkins (180), and am within 10 pounds of my college weight (165) -- and am almost 25 pounds less then when I got married more than 30 years ago (197) -- so I am not complaining! Just pointing out to people who are in their early months how very important it is to take as much advantage of the honeymoon as possible!
I am determined that I will make my goal -- which I revised to 159 -- that is the highest weight that puts me in a normal BMI range. When I hit that, I expect to set a lower goal.
Thanks to all you who have provided inspiration and advice along the way! I call on your words and good thoughts every day!
Elina is soooo right. Which is exactly why I posted this! When I hit six months, it was like my body said, "I'm well now, and you, my dear, need to get back in shape for that famine!"
So the war continues! I may not win every battle, but I will eventually win the war!
PS -- I can now wear my husband gym shorts, and steal his trendy gymwear! My next clothing goal is to wear smaller gym clothes than he does!
Congrats and I am about 20 something away from my goal too and I have found a renewed vigor. I actually cut back a bit this week (which did hurt my workouts) and I got some restriction back and I haven't actually been hungry in a couple of days now. I guess this would be akin to indian summer if the honey moon is summer.
With you on every word!!!! I have lost 2 lbs a month since month 6! It was like a switch went off even though my eating didn't really change. Well...not that much anyway. I do a daily check on the highest BMI weight for me...just in case it changes! LOL! The highest normal BMI weight for me is 128 but I set my goal weight to 120 but there will definitely be some celebration here when I hit 128 already!!!
I know, Jen... Really some days I get all down in the dumps (yes, even Me, Miss Positive attitude) and think I am just never going to get there.. other days I am all gung ho on that horse!! In any case, not giving up...13 lbs is not that much all things considered. They will go eventually!
