Yes!!!!!  People do not realize that exercise is about your overall health, not so much about your weight loss.  There are numerous studies that show that people's belief system about diet and exercise (as it what is more important) is highly correlated with their weight.  Also, exercise plays a much more important role in maintenance, than in weight loss (according to my doctor who is all about exercise).  So by all means, work out and work out hard, but don't delude yourself that you can work off a bad diet decision unless you become a full on athlete and work out for hours a day for life.  Not very likely for most of us.

I do believe that some form of exercise needs to be done especially to maintain our weight but you are right... it's for our overall health too.  Plus, it makes us "feel" good after & even during!!!
