Hey Beginners -- what are you doing for exercise?

I saw Keith's post about beginning exercise, and I think that's a great idea!

I know I am the exercise hater of all time, so I thought I'd post my schedule.  It's not much, but its a start!  C'mon, join me! Hopefully, I can build on this as my strength increases (LOL, and my injuries decrease!).

Monday - Gym (exercise plan set up by trainer)

Tuesday - Couch to 5K workout with my Bariatric Boot Camp buddies

Wednesday - Dance (Tango and Rumba for Sept-Oct)

Thursday - Physical Therapy, then Gym, depending on what happens at PT

Friday --  Gym or Dance

Saturday - Bariatric Boot Camp class

What are the rest of you all doing?

Sounds like a fun workout schedule!!!  I am trying once again to start up some type of physical activity.  Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred.  I don't have alot of time so I can get it done in 27 minutes.  I'm so sore from all the squatting, I need to raise myself out of my chair with both hands!!!

Those squats are great for us, but I can't go very low -- my knees give out!  I still do them with a low bench behind me, so in case I go down, I don't hit the floor!  The stats show that people who exercise are way more successful keeping the weight off, so that motivates me when I ask myself what I was thinking!

Keep up the great work!

Yeah, even though it all makes sense, it's obvious most of the successful VSGers all exercise on a regular basis.  I know I need to as well.  Best of luck to all of us!!!

LOL -- "Knowing it" still doesn't make me like it!  I was hoping for a transfer addiction -- you know finding comfort from exercise instead of food, but so far, it hasn't happened!  I think those endorphins that are supposed to get all worked up when you exercise are just confused!

Impressive!  There is a big hill where I sometimes go walk the Mutt - and I go up it backwards (on the sidewalk!).  I've found that backwards on the hill is easier on my knees and it works a different muscle in my thighs!  Plus, the Mutt can help tow me up the hill!

You say this isn't "much"?  I say it's a LOT!  Good job - wish we had a bariatric boot camp class around here.
