My lowest adult weight since college -- now entering uncharted territory!
Well folks, I've posted before that I got to 180 on Atkins a few years back, and gradually made it back up to 260 -- but today I am at 179.4 - officially below the lowest weight I ever had as an adult (if you consider age 18 and 165 as being adult!).
My first goal was to get back to 180. Now I'm shooting for 159.9 (LOL), which puts me barely into a normal BMI.
After that, I'll shot for the "top" of the healthy body fat category at 30% -- which theoretically puts me in the 145-150 range -- which frankly I have absolutely no memory of ever weighing, since I was 197 in junior high -and remember wearing a size 18 shorts when I went to camp in 6th grade.
So, I have no ability to "visualize" myself at lower weights, and my losses have slowed down (as expected). Just asking for some cosmic support to stay strong, make good choices and do what I gotta do as I move into this very weird place for me!
But it's a weird place mentally. I know what I have to do -- thanks to Elina, Frisco, Rob, Kairk and other vets who are so generous with their advice! Now, it's just a matter of staying the course til I get to "goal".
Congrats!!! You are doing excellent work!!

Congratulations. You must be feeling so good to be at a new low weight. You are really working that sleeve!

Hey there, Mutt Lover! I do believe you and I are sharing that same weird mental place today. I am sending you all kinds of encouragement and support. You are going to make it to that place (where ever it is) that you want to be. Your body will take you there with the help of your desire and all that you have learned along the way. Carry on, girl- it's a beautiful place that you are going to---And think about it- How cool is it that you (and many of us) get to be physically transformed as adults into new and beautiful creations; an experience that most do not.

Looking back, I think I sabotaged myself a few times over "the new low." Every time I hit a lower weight, it scared the **** out of my. If I could go back and do something different, I would have talked about my fears a little more or written them out, so that I could look at them later. The base fear was that I wouldn't be able to keep that weight for long. But, what I've learned over the last 9 months is that I can maintain very well. Losing is harder.
Don't let your head **** with your success. Stay the course and work through what's bugging you. That "weird" feeling? Figure out what it is and face it down with Momma Bear tenacity. Don't let that "weird" feeling stay an enigma for long.
Good luck.
