Round 2 or 3 or maybe it's 4 by now
I had surgery scheduled for 10/12 but the anesthesiologist backed out...too soon after a heart attack and stents. Surgery was re-scheduled for 12/12. Two days before the surgery, he backed out again. I was PISSED! I felt that my surgeon should've been more up front with me and I would've went to elsewhere. (my cardiologist cleared me and said I was healthy enough for surgery)
Well, after gaining 30lbs., I've decided to look at VSG again. Can anyone tell me, will any of my 6 months pre-op stuff count? It will be another 6 months minimum before I can have surgery putting my pre-op stuff at 2 years old.
Any advice to get me prepared for this time around?
You have to talk to your insurance company about what they require.
Is there something else going on that you didn't have surgery? Is it really that the anesthesiologist was unavailable that you didn't have surgery?
Not sure what advice we can give for this time around, not really sure what the issue is. Find a surgical team that comes to work regularly?
My insurance required my 90-day supervised multi-faceted regimen to have occurred within 6 months prior to surgery. If I chose to do the less-strict 6 month program, that had to have occurred within the 2 years prior to surgery (I think). Definitely call your insurance and ask them.
