That makes me smile - and totally makes sense to me. I am just such a geeky, anal, numbers person, that I will pull my calculator out in the middle of a restaurant/store/etc. to check the numbers. :) I like your strategy, though, and might steal it (not with the calculations - that would keep me awake at night - but with the under/overestimating).

One of my easy faves when wandering a grocery store is a small container of cottage cheese, but it's possible that I'm a bit weird. Those tuna kits with a tiny tin of tuna salad and 5 crackers is a decent quick meal for me as well. (I like the one with water chestnuts)
