Finally...back on track

So great to hear!  This journey sure can be bumpy.  I am still in my honeymoon phase, but it is getting harder to lose and the fears are starting to creep in a bit.  But you inspire me to make it more about overall health than getting more weight off.  Of course, we all want to hit our ideal weight, that number we have had in our head for years.  However, being mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically ready for that, is part of this roller coaster ride.  I eat very close to Paleo/Primal, but I sure can tell when I don't.  I am tired, depressed and lethargic.  My body does not like refined carbs, grains or anything with preservatives and it screams at me when I do eat them.  Time to get back on track so that I can enjoy every minute of this blessed life.  Thanks for the inspiration and you are doing fantasti****ep smiling! Lighting up a room does not depend on what you weigh, it is having a smile on your face, caring about others and being the one to find the positive side to any situation and motivating others to do the same.  Those are the people that truly enjoy life, no matter what they weigh.  :O)

“Not many of us are living at our best.  We linger in the lowlands because we are afraid to climb the mountains.  The steepness and ruggedness dismay us, and so we stay in the misty valleys and do not learn the mystery of the hills.  We do not know what we lose in our self indulgence.  What glory awaits us if only we had the courage for the mountain climb.  What blessing we should find if only we would move to the uplands of God.?  JRM

You. Are. Amazing.

Much love and respect for you. You have been fighting like hell. and as someone who has had to fight that stupid stupid fight, I know how much it really really sucks. But, you've fought. and fought. and hell, you can even smile. :)

Keep up that good fight. and it's just a day at a time. or an hour. or even a minute.

Xoxo.

Anyone who has lost and maintained an over-200-lbs weightloss can only be considered a smashing success.  I completely understand why that's sometimes hard to accept for oneself, but it's just true.

I'm glad you're feeling better and hope you'll be around here more often. Your fearless style is something I come here for.

Tom

You are amazing! Going into the surgery you were one of my inspirations and even after I look forward to your posts and look up to you for everything you have been through.

Congratulations on finishing the 30 days. I know many people who have tried and you are the first I know to succeed in completing the full 30 days!

You look amazing, even with "an extra 30 lbs" on your bones!!!

Hey Allison!  So HAPPY for you.  I haven't been on the board much but I happened to catch this and I'm thrilled to see it!  I'm slowly getting back on the wagon too.  So hard to do and I'm so proud of you.  I'm hoping to catch up with you and Jenn.  ( Both literally AND in the weight loss sense.)  Struggling with regain but if I can keep it together through the weekend I think I can get back to onderland next week.  man this is so much harder than we thought it was!  I bought the back to basics book and never read it!  let's plan on getting together for a long walk soon.  So much to talk about!  I'll text you soon. -Kim  PS gorgeous pics!!
