How long did it take for your stomach to heal inside

 

 

I am 4 weeks post-op and I long for a decent night sleep. I'm still sleeping on my back propped up with a lot of pillows. I tried sleeping on my side last night for about an hour and woke up with the worst stomach ache ever.  Hopefully it will heal soon.   April 2, 2013 - Consultation with Dr. - weighed- 293 lbs  May 23, 2013 - Surgery Day - 280 lbs Today, June 21, 2013 weight - 255 lbs  Down 38 lbs

Is that anywhere online I can read about? I got a deep sea fishing trip planned right at 6 weeks I'm a bit worried about.

My Dr said to give it 4-6 weeks. That's why we have a progressive diet plan from liquids to soft, puree, etc.. My plan lasted 6 weeks before I got to add back normal foods. But honestly I felt great with no tummy issues after 3 weeks. I didn't eat off my plan but I didn't have any pain or upsets more than a little bowel problems. That's just me though and everyone is different. If you're having that much pain after 4 weeks I'd call your doctor to see if it's normal.
