Help!! I'm struggling

Thanks everybody I really appreciate the advice!!!

i haven't had surgery yet but i drink about three gallons a day of water.  i am always drinking.  

is it hard to drink water after surgery because our stomachs don't allow water in?  you have to sip for that? or is it because it's gross.  it's just impossible for me to imagine not being able to drink the amount of water i'm used to.
