Balance, weight loss, and learning from our mistakes
Kairk's Auntie Dearest would give you a cookie for this one! The following statement "Next, we need to come up with and then practice these new strategies until they become second nature to us." is, I believe, the hardest one for some people to swallow (pardon the pun), but it's the statement that sticks out to me as the true key to success here. You have to learn, and then apply that knowledge. You have to practice those strategies and they do eventually become second nature. Thank you for reminding us to stay balanced and keep learning and evolving until we beat this darned obesity into submission...Geez, we're passionate about this, now aren't we?
Hope you're having a good Saturday too!

You must permanently change your lifestyle if you want your weight loss to be permanent. You can do it!
Once again, you said what I needed to hear today. I did really well in weight loss but feel like I am failing in maintenance. I cannot seem to keep my weight within 5 pounds of lowest weight hit. I then go on to weight loss again and then back to try maintenance again, only to find the weight back on in a few weeks. My body weight swings way more than yours does up to three pounds a day and it makes it hard to accept. I still want to figure this out and I know exercise is a big part of what my weight does.
I keep trying to not be a perfectionist about the whole thing and be compassionate with myself but not always successful.
Did having plastics help with figuring out where your body weight should be? As you can see the changes more easily?
Cardboard? I'm pretty sure that's closer to carbs instead of protein.
But on a serious note... I find that whatever I do feeds on itself. In other words...If I skip a workout,I get upset and more upset and more. On the other hand...when I don't want to workout...but DO, I get happier and happier!! What I try to do now, is before I stray to an undesirable place, I ask myself if I'll be able to deal with the crazy moods to follow. I know your point here is that we need to be kind to ourselves when mistakes happen...and I'm working on that. Not that evolved yet...but a work in progress.
As far as guilt goes...that is part of my fabric... born into it... gave up fighting THAT a LOOOOOONG time ago. Me and my guilt are good friends...since she's always hanging around
Peace my friend!!
