Hi all,

How long after surgery would you have been comfortable doing a 24 hour trip by car?

Thanks!!

I would have been ready on day 2!  Unfortunately, it is just going to depend on how you feel.  There are people that don't want to move and those who want to get up and do everything.  If you feel good then go.  I would just make sure that you get out and move around every couple of hours to keep your circulation going.  Pack some cushioning (pillow, blanket) to keep you comfortable on the ride.

So, 4-6 weeks shouldn't be a problem?

for a long drive most doctors say at least 1 month and you should stop every hour and walk around so you don't get blood clots
