2.5 years out, if you need some reassurance and motivation,.
Hey guys! I try and check in every once and while and see whats going on here. I am in vet school so I dont get on here alot anymore, they like to see how much work they can pile on..
Anyhow!
Hi everyone, I'm Sassy, I had my sleeve in December of 2010. VSG was a bit newer and less common then. i was scared sh*tless. My family thought I was crazy. I was tired of being depressed and miserable and having back pain all the time..so I did it. I lept. And I landed on my feet! I went from 258 pounds to 140 pounds and have maintained that loss for 2.5 years. My back pain is gone, my depression gone, my anxiety of being out socially, etc, etc, etc. I am healthy, I run circles around the young bucks here at school. Its the best decision I ever made. I am confident, and happy, and active.
My life is so so different post VSG, all for the better. But I have put in alot of hard work, losing and maintaining doesnt just happen, you do have to be mindful. You do have to put in the work. But I just wanted to remind everyone, a life without risk is one not worth living. I wish I did it 5 years before. But alas, I only look foward, and not back.
Cheers peeps!
xo
