I think I am in trouble since I just started smoking again, they told me not to smoke but never explained why .....Other than the risks I already know about I did not know there were other risks associated with the surgery...I need a plan !

Well I'm sitting here in bed with a canula in my nose which is attatched to a concentrator that gives me oxygen. IF I can gather the energy to go anywhere I have to drag my air tank along behind me so I can breath. My vote is NO don't even tempt yourself with the e-cigs it is only one step to going back to real ones again.  I can tell you this is no way to live, I can't even walk to the bathroom without oxygen and it is ALL from smoking, they really aren't kidding when they say how dangerous it is!!!

Yeah, it's wild how fast things have changed - now it's not just e-cigs, but also vapes, JUULs, IQOS... the whole nicotine tech world exploded. Feels like there's always a "new, safer" option popping up.

That said, most surgeons still group all of them under the same no-go zone after surgery, especially during healing. Nicotine (in any form) can mess with recovery. I totally get the stress though - you're doing amazing staying off cigarettes this long, seriously.

If you're looking into options like heets iqos, I've seen sites like AmericaStick that offer info and alternatives - but still, maybe best to check with your doctor first before trying anything, even if it feels "less harmful."
