Well, damn. Add another member to the ****ty day club. Yesterday I had some really really bad stomach pain. Could possibly be a side effect of my current treatment, but hematologist wasn't convinced. PCP wants me to do a BRAT diet for a few days, since it happened a couple times after eating. I'm not doing bananas, rice, and toast, so I'm just doing shakes for a few days. Stomach still hurts today but it's a bit better. Long day again today so no exercise either, and well, both jobs are just **** right now :(

B: Syntrax double stuffed with unsweetened almond milk

L: same

D: same

S: maybe another one, I'm a little short on protein at 72 grams. Oh, and I'm freaking cranky and starving, lol.

water and vites are good :)

Want me to really be in your head?  CALL ME.  When this happens, really, call me.   Hugs.

By the way, just in case no one else mentioned it this morning, you are fabulous, beautiful, fun, wise and an amazing friend.

You are even more gorgeous in real life than your pictures and you have class and style.   There think about that for a while.  :)

I think we all have days like this Ms. Shell. You did fabulous just waiting it out, and taking some control of other things that you could control.. sometimes that feeling freezes me so badly I can't do anything at all. Some days I fall on my face and have a melt-down and eat the crap. Big thing is not letting it spiral and continue on.. and on..

Today isn't over yet- but going to be a lower day as I slept in after being up way late having an unplanned couple drinks with a good friend.. stayed low-carb, but not low cal :)

B- egg over easy, cheddar, dark meat chix meat, spinach, salsa and gy w/ tabasco on a bran crisp.. what a mess to eat, but tasty.

L- my fill of shrimp ****tail, with a side of kimchi.

D- marinating some lamb chops, will make some roasted rutabaga and green veggie of some sort..

S- prob some of that eggplant protein bread pudding (from Maria's blog- finally perfected it and LOVES it!!) with a bit of sweetened Fage on it..

Yeah that was me just paralyzed I didn't WANT to move because I know it would have been in the WRONG direction!!!

My arthritis got HORRIBLE and I retained water after the "bread" pudding.  I read that eggplant can have that effect on arthritis, something about being a "night shade" vegetable.  Oh well I like a bunch of other stuff so no real loss.

Funny you should mention that! I was just reading about elimination diets for dxing health issues.. My mom is going through some serious health stuff (didn't start from a good place anyway, this time it's her guts) and the nighshades are one group eliminated on the testing/elim diet.. potatoes, tomatoes and peppers are also in the fam and can cause a reaction in your body to one degree or another.

Interesting read, not that I'm curious enough to try- but I'd imagine there are some that I'm not good with for sure, just based on gut bloating when I do have a couple culprits- now I avoid them! Heck, my hormonal side-track/huge water retention episode I had a while ago I'm pretty sure was due to a reaction to a sweetener I was using, which is in the ragweed fam, and can cause systemic issues for those that are allergic to ragweed!

Yup while I haven't done one I highly recommend it to people who have "issues" I'm like remove EVERYTHING from your diet and introduce stuff one at a time and see where the cause lies.  We ALL have food alergies to one degree or another, but doing the work is hard.

Mine currently are eggplant, ALL grains, corn and tofu.  I either swell and/or get really STIFF
