How do you....
When I'd lost 100# I bought yarn to knit myself a cardigan. That was significant because other than socks I've never knit a garment for myself.
When I finally slipped into Onederland I ordered a set of really nice interchangeable circular knitting needles.
Yes, those 3 things happened close together. I'll enjoy using my new needles to knit the cardi.
My next significant number is 180 - what I weighed when my hubby and I met - and my doctor's goal for me. I'm thinking a weekend away with said hubby would make a lovely celebration. Of course I also wouldn't complain if he felt a need to buy me something sparkly to wear.
What goals are you looking forward to?
Highest 303.4, Surgery 263, Current 217.8, Goal 180
When I lost 100 pounds I got my wedding ring resized! I was going to wait but there is no way my knuckle would get to a 6 so I am so excited to get it back next week. When I got to goal I got a nice shirt. I guess I should have done something more exciting! Since I have now revised my goal I will think of something more awesome for when I hit it!
I collect refrigerator magnets, and when I had my surgery I bought 10 of 'em, one for each 5 pounds I wanted to lose (I'm a super featherweight). Every time I lost five pounds I took one out and stuck it on the fridge.
Honestly, by the time I made my goal (it took me a year -- I'm a super slow loser, too), I'd kind of forgotten about the magnets because LIFE was so freakin' exciting by that point!
