Would you do it again if you had the option to go back?
Go back to fat me before surgery? Nope. Would never want to go back there again.
Go back to the fat me and have surgery five years before I did it? Hell yes! In a heart beat. Go forward and have this surgery every year in order to keep the weight off? Absolutely.
I have three kids too and they were basically already motherless when I was fat and couldn't take care of them as I should have. Now it is much much much better and I am catching up! You will not leave your kids motherless. On the contrary you will give them the gift of a healthy active mother.
Leaks are rare...a ***** when it happens but from what I read they can be fixed.
YES. Wholeheartedly, unequivocally yes. My baby girl wasn't even a year old, this was the only surgery I've had, and I was completely terrified. My last pre-op appointment when my doctor asked if I had any more questions, I told him to not kill me on the table. I have never once had buyer's remorse. I'm still early out, but this has been the best thing I've ever done for myself.
Absolutely I would. I lost over 180 lbs, well over half my TOTAL body weight. My sleeve has been a great tool. I could barely walk before, now I hike. I am healthy, have energy and stamina. At two years, it's hard to remember how I ever lived like that for 30 years.
