How common is a "soft stop"?

The irony of my kind of hiccup and then sneeze 30 seconds ago after I stopped eating has led me to believe this is a soft stop. Now, I'm only 3 weeks out and am on soft foods. I measured out 1/4 cup of egg substitutes and have one slice of cheese on them. I think even this amount was a little too much and now have confirmed it with these signs.

I have noticed that I will get a little tight in my chest when I get close. I always try to not take that bite I'm about to have to prevent that over full feeling. It's still a work in progress though.

I don't have a soft stop signal either. I do weigh and measure and the only thing I watch for is whether my tummy feels 'satisfied' with something less than my full portion. I have to listen carefully because I have had foamies and vomiting several times when eating my full portion. I've learned that the denser and drier the protein, the more carefully I have to note my level of 'fullness'.

Very common~!  Although sometimes I hiccup when I'm not even eating so I don't know.  I do know when I got 1 bite too much cause I feel this tightness in my chest around the esophagus area.  The best thing is to measure your food ahead of time.
