How well do you know yourself?? And Operation 100% (LONG)
Thanks for telling us your story! It's so much like mine, and many others -- and you are far ahead of us. I am trying to learn from what others share -- so please know how much it helps me where you tell it like is in your life!
I'm only four months out, and doing my best to figure out what works for me (how much exercise, when to eat, do I need a snack or just want a snack, etc.). Augghhh!
Keep at it!
I have another friend who is years out, band to sleeve revision, and she talks about how she has such a wonderful work ethnic, not calling in sick, doing her job no matter what, but her diet was lacking. So NOW her diet/exercise/etc is her OTHER full time job!!
It's alot of work but when you are putting THAT effort into yourself the fruits of your labor are oh so sweet.
Ms Shell
This is what I was feeling yesterday when I was trying to figure out why I felt uncomfortable in my support group. I am not there yet, so I cannot describe it, but you just did. And I will be soaking in your posts (and the other vets) and try and go into each phase of this journey with YOUR knowledge....so hopefully I can be even 1/2 as successful as you are!
Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom and you are rocking it more than you know!
Thank you for sharing, Ms. Shell! The hardest part is knowing ourselves, and yet you are right -- it is the only key to success. I can't tell you how helpful it is to have your guidance in this process. This "aha" moment is just what I needed today! It's so easy to get overwhelmed by the process, but it truly is one day at a time, one step at a time.
Best of luck with Operation 100%, and thanks for posting the challenge for the rest of us. If there was ever someone worth investing 100% for, it should be an investment we each make for ourselves!
