75-90% got me NO where before WLS...
I'm certainly not knocking the importance of exercise (and lord knows I could be doing more of it) but as Elina says, from a health perspective, it's probably more important as a maintenance tool. In addition to the benefits Elina stated, I think exercise can also be important for mood stabilization, and for some, for suppressing appetite if done at 'high risk' times of the day to disrupt bad eating 'habits'.
Wishing you well. You're showing a great deal of courage and I can only hope to follow your example if I get into trouble further out.

For me, exercise is vital for maintenance, as well as good for my health, muscles, mood, heart, and bones. I need both the nutrition and exercise components for success.
Everyday at the gym, I see people who exercise like crazy, but their bodies do not change. Then, there are those that not only exercise, but change their nutrition, and those are the ones that have changed their bodies for the better. I have met people who have lost 85 and 135 lbs through following weigh****chers and exercising. They have made the lifestyle changes necessary for success and they are maintaining their losses.
I read recently that it is 80 percent nutrition , 10 percent exercise, and 10 percent genetics.
I bet if you give the nutrition a higher percentage, you will see results. At least you stopped the upward momentum. Now, tweak some things and you will go down. Weight training helped me and having a varied workout.
i had put on about 3-4 lbs. I started tracking again, cleaned up my diet, and increased my consistency with exercise, and those pounds have slowly come off.
i have faith that you will be able to do this. You are a strong and determined woman.
