Had a great day
Today (well, technically yesterday) was DH's birthday. We went down the hill to meet up with a friend for an early dinner at the Yard House before our dance class. Our friend has a RNY and the three of us decided to share an order of deviled eggs, an order of hot wings, and the grilled artichoke. More than enough food for three people who have had WLS. We also each had a couple of bites of the birthday dessert.
Then, we needed to shop for a new pair of yoga pants for me. It is hard to dance in jeans because I get to sweaty and hot. I shrunk out of my last pair a few months ago. Tonight, the size medium was to big I needed a ...small. Wow, a size small, I could have done the happy dance right there, but I was saving it for the studio.
Dance class was fun. We go to a studio that does a beginner class followed by a social dance time for practice. There is no way we could move like we need to before we lost a whole person between us. While the Cupid Shuffle was going, I got a good look at myself in the mirrored wall, I am finally beginning to see the smaller me. Yes, it was a good day.
What a lovely post, Linda! I felt like I was there with you... enjoying some roasted artichoke and deviled eggs, yum!:)
It inspires me to watch you really develop and enjoy the physical activity aspect of your life...
That moment of catching yourself in the mirror and liking what you see is a wonderful thing...congratulations -- you deserve it!
Happy Birthday to DH, and Happy New Life!
Hugs!
