That is the person that reviews the xray, You may or may not have met him/her. The techs do the actual scans. Sometimes you never see the radiologist.

The person that looks at your removed stomach and probably runs labs or tests on it (may or may not do this), is a Pathologist.

I wanted to add a comparison of how crazy this charge is. My friend had a baby very very early. He was in the NICU for 3 weeks. His bill was only $60,000 for a 3 WEEK stay!
