I'm the same way--hate cofee, was always a soda fanatic.  i've been soda (and so therefore caffeine free) since 2 days before 2-week pre-op...mid-November...

I have a suggestion for your Back.  (That is as long as the incisions are healed from your plastics)  Try TIGER BALM (it gets rubbed on your skin).  They sell it at Whole foods.  Since surgery my doctor told me no NSAIDS.  I have constant pain from Fibromyalgia.  For headaches I rub it on my forehead, neck aches on my neck,   I use it for my back, knees and ankles too.  Everything that hurts.  It works wonders!!    Better than Nsaids.   :-)

You'll do fine with no coffee. I gave it up 4 months ago as part of my pre-op plan. The first 9 days were awful. Headache, exhaustion, etc.... , but now I don't miss it all all.

I drink decaf and that's it.

Good luck!!!!

UGH!

I think I'm in trouble! I was only drinking one cup a day...but for the past 2 weeks...upped it to 2-3 ( except for some reason I wanted tea today...)!

Things slowed down a bit...so I thought , as Elina said, that it would speed up my metabolism. But now I'm questioning it. Yikes!!! I'll be watching you Ms Shell to see how your experiment goes!

I guess I better find Keiths You Tube on it too.

Oh Crap!
