Pity party Monday
Monday seems like the perfect day for a pity party!!
I'm beginning to think that I am destined to be 172-173 pounds for the rest of my life. I can eat perfectly or eat like crap and and I see those two numbers everyday when I get up (I have tried not weighing everyday and I can't help it). I am just 27 pounds away from my goal and am wearing a L in tops and 12 in pants. I have 3 really cute super small 12's in my closet that are too tight at this moment and look forward to wearing those soon. I have been working out 3 days a week by running on the treadmill and doing the eliptical and ab work. I'm not doing weights just yet so don't think it is much muscle gain. If anyone has some tips or advice I would greatly appreciate it.

I started at 366 and I cant get past 207 :( I was 218 when I graduated so My first initial goal was to get under high-school weight. AND I did, but I want to get below 200! My ultimate goal is 165. I have considered going back down to the 500-600 calorie range but I am so weak when I go that low. I estimate between 800-1000 right now. Good luck! :)

I am no expert but a couple of things jump out at me. Since I have no idea what "eating perfectly" means to you - no way to give comments there. However, you do imply you some days "eat like crap". Maybe that isn't often, don't know, but eliminating crap might help.
Also, the amount of exercise you do might have been enough at one point, but increasing time, intensity, or number of days might help.

I've said it 1000 times before though some vets disagree...the closer you are to goal, normal BMI, the harder it is to lose... in my experience, one needs to increase calories ( and gasp!! CARBS, albeit good ones) to fuel the body.. the 600-800 thing just doesn't get it and the more active one is, the more fuel you will need....
I do not know what your typical intake is but try to increase it by 200 calories daily for 2 weeks and see what happens...

I don't have any good advice to help you other than my two hardest stalls where when I was moving from 200's to 190's and from the 170's into the 160's. You may need to up your exercise, as you lose the weight you burn less calories for the same amount of exercise.
Eating right to me is 600-800 calories with 70+ grams of protein and 30 or less grams of carbs. I log everything on MFP and eat this way 5 to 6 days a week and on Saturdays I just kind of relax and enjoy myself but because of the sleeve I can't eat much but I'm sure my calories and carbs are up there.
I'm so sorry Theresa! That must be so frustrating! Just a thought, have you tried throwing a curveball into your workouts recently? How long have you been in the treadmill/elliptical routine? It might be time for a change up. Can you attend a cycling class? If your gym offers it, BodyPump is an amazing weight training class that can help you start hitting the weights without the intimidation of the free weight area. I'm thinking something probably need to change...and if your diet looks good than it might be in the area of fitness stuff. Hope this helps!
I am in the same boat! I am 13 months post op and I have been stuck between 163 and 167. It is frustrating, I have only 10 more pounds to go until I am considered a "Normal" weight! I have never been in the "normal" weight... Just a goal of mine!!!!!!!!! and I am so close but so far away!
Hang in there! We will get there it just takes some time.. I would definitely try Body Pump, it changed my life :-)
