This was the plan I followed based on what I read on these forums and it was exactly the plan proposed by my surgeon and nutritionist.  It just works.  I lost 95 pounds from my surgery date to the 5 month anniversary.  No stalls.  Nearly a straight line of consistent results.  Yes, I was lucky.  But this plan got me to maintenance in as short a time as I think is really possible.

In maintenance I continue to journal my food and exercise and I look at net calories (consumed - burned in exercise that is beyond normal daily life activities).  I strive to keep the net still around 600-1000c... So far, so good - I have kept my weight below my goal, with about a +/- 2 lb window ever since hitting maintenance.  

Do it. It works.

 

Heaviest: 313/VSG Pre: 295/Surgery: 260/Maintenance target:190 - Recent: 195 (08/15/19)

Thanks!  This post and others like it help to take away the scariness....it's not a loss of control over our own bodies, rather complete control!!
