Hi all,

I have effectively cut out all breads from my life, don't even miss it anymore!  I am a carbaholic and am vigilant with them.  However, i do make an exception when I eat tuna or salmon.  I need to spread it on something and so far I have been using either ryvita crackers or multi grain melba toasts.  What is the lowest cracker or su*****arbs?  No I don't want to substitute cucumber for it....I manage these additional carbs in my daily numbers and it works for me...just having a hard time finding the lowest in carb and fat option...any suggestions?

I use "34 degree" crackers (got them at Walmart.) They have different flavors, but the Whole Grain is 35 cal, 7g carb, 1g protein, for 9 crackers (which are about the same size around as a soda can). They are rather thin, but work when I need some crunch!

Do you have Finn crisps where you are? 20 cal, 3 carbs and 1 gr protein. They are thin but bigger than melba toast. They come in all kinds of flavours like rye or multigrain.

I just purchased Sara Lee Honey Wheat 45 calorie bread.  It has to be the Honey wheat but it only has 7gr carbs and 3 gr of protein per slice.  I toast one piece and spread 2.5 oz of tuna on it and eat.

I looked at some of the other sara lee's and this was the least that I found.

Hmmmm, I never thought of subbing cucumbers for crackers when eating tuna. I bet that's good. I'm going to have to try that.

LOL, thanks!!

I have spread salmon on mutated cucumbers -- aka dill pickles -- and enjoyed that as well.  The crisper, the better.

Finn crisps are the best!  Pretty low stats and not as thick/cardboardy tasting as wasa crackers.

band to sleeve revision and loving life!

You do you, and I'll do me
