You're so vain.....

That song popped into my head today while I was out prancing around in my brand-new-hand-me-down Gap "Long and Lean" size 20 R, NOT W, jeans!  Many thanks to fellow OH'er Debie for sending me some wonderful items that now too big for her, but are exactly the next size down from all of the clothes I have now!

I was thinking this pair must be a result of vanity sizing -- since the other pair of 20s didn't quite fit yet, and the size 18s are a few pounds away -- but I didn't care one bit!  I was wearing a size 20 that didn't have a W after it.  My husband liked them even more, since they fit my much smaller butt and didn't look like they were going to slide off any minute!

Anyway, I just had to share my excitement with people who would understand!

You're doing so well!  I remember from the very beginning how seriously you have taken this and how you have adhered to your plan even through travel challenges and such.  Keep up the great work!!

Congratulations!  I loved that bit about not looking like they are falling off.  I can't wear Old Navy/Gap pants because they all look like they are going to (and have)falling off!  It's the cut.  I am the only person on OH NOT looking forward to not being able to shop at LB.  They have they only pants - blue - that fit my butt to waist ratio.

Ya know -- I have NEVER, EVER bought anything at Gap or Old Navy.  The fit was never right for me.  So I was amazed that these fit perfectly.  I am 5'7", and have a long torso and a defined waist (for a person my size) but a big butt, so the only pants I've been able to wear for a long time are from Talbots (thank goodness I live a few minutes from the Talbots Outlet), and some rare styles from LLBean and Lands End.  Most of the time, anything that fits my butt is wayyy to big at the waist, or the stride is huge, so the waist comes up under my boobs!  LOL!

All that to say, who knows what your final and interim shape will be?  You might have some surprises along the way as well!

I'm 5'6" and have the same body as you sounds like.  Defined waist and BIG butt.  The LB blue circle is the only jeans I wear.
