Nausea! Nausea! Nausea!
I'll be 6 weeks post op on Monday. I'm supposed to be able to go on unrestricted foods on Monday. I'm so not ready. I have nausea everyday now especially early in the day til at least late afternoon. I threw up 4 times this week on just liquids. I don't understand why I took these steps backwards as I have more nausea now than I did right after surgery. What's going on? I feel like something might be terribly run. Not like a leak cause I don't have the other symptoms. So I don't know what it is.

I agree call your surgeon. With that said, I am seven weeks out. At about six weeks out I began to feel more restriction and became easily nauseated. Like you I was worried. My surgeon explained to me that at about six weeks, for some people later, the nerve ending in your stomach that were cut are beginning to heal. This may cause you to feel greater restriction. It may also cause you to feel nauseated now and then again because of the prescription. He switched my PPI to evening so it wouldn't be wearing off upon waking and told me to take a half a nausea pill when I felt nauseous. I had no other symptoms as well. However this is what worked for me, and I would strongly suggest you call your surgeon and discuss it with him.
Yeah I had called last week and your right the nurse acted like it was normal. I am taking prilosec already. The dose is 40 mg 1 time a day. Is that how much you were prescribed or was it more?

When you had trouble with your gallbladder did your nausea go away the later part of the day. My nausea is morning and early afternoon. Than starts to go away from there on. At night I feel completely fine.

Yup, morning was horrible, early afternoon it would lessen and by about 3pm I was fine. Everyday. Since it's been gone, no nausea any time of day.
