The stats on the Beef merlot, about the only one I would choose are as follows and beside them is the stats for real beef:

Cals 310                      Cals 160

Fat 21 gms                        Fat 7 gms

Sodium 920                       Sodium 0

Carbs 9                                 Carbs 0

Fiber 3                                    Fiber 0

Sugar 3                                   Sugar 0

Pro 16                                       Pro 23

You are better off ordering from a restaurant, real meat,or ordering in to the office or whatever. I have never heard of not being able to order SOME kind of meat from at least one restaurant in any town in the US,honestly.

I don't let myself be caught unprepared/ Failing to plan is planning to fail.

You are ALWAYS going to be getting more cals, sugar, carbs and all manner of undesirable fake foods when you use pre packaged foods.Notice there are 9 gms of carbs in the froz meal.  3 of those are fiber from the broc but the other 3 are pure sugar. PPL might say oh 3 gms of sugar isn't much, but to our bodies it is much. Our bodies are lazy and as long as we give them easy sugar to use for fuel, even 3 gms, they will not bur our stored fat. simple as that. In addition, for every grm of carb we ingest, our bodies MUST hold so much water to process the carb. You know that back and forth between xx and xx on the scale? Water weight? thank the carbs you are eating for that little phenom. About the time your body is ready to release tha****er,yoyu eat more carbs and you are in the same boat all over again.

also brocolli is the first ingredient, with beef being second so that means there is more brocolli than there is beef. You need more beef than broc as a rule. So you are essentially paying big bucks for broccoli that you really don't need and paying for less, probably, inferior beef that you do need.

I think that is true of most frozen meals.  They are very disappointing, but come in handy sometimes.

OK...I am going to be the different one here.

No, these are not as good as "real" food.

Yes, they are more expensive than cooking your own.

Yes, they are a "Frankenfood" and have too many preservatives and such in them.

Despite all that and my determination to eat "clean", I have purchased several of these meals and often eat them at work.  When I am busy, it's easier to just throw it in the microwave and be done.  If I have one of those days where I am just sick of thinking about my weightloss, tracking, etc., they work.  Do I eat them all the time?  No.  Can I eat a whole one?  At almost 2 years out I can sometimes, if I'm really hungry eat a whole meal.  I find myself getting into food ruts and these kinda break it up for me.

Like protein bars, these are going to be controversial foods.  But if you are needing something quick, and don't make a habit of it, these are the lesser evils.

I guess I am not a fan of frozen food. If I am in a bind, I rather have an egg.

I do eggs too.  My sleeve is excepting them only later in the day though.  Moody thing.  lol   Monday I go on unrestricted foods.  I don't think my sleeve is ready.  It's too picky still.

I tried one of them (meat loaf), and it was completely inedible.  I have a chicken one, too, but I'm scared to try now. haha
