My pants are coming down, but the scale stays the same!
Last night we went to a small dance party hosted by a local dance teacher. We thought this would be a low key way to ease back into dancing and see how my ankle holds up -- and get some exercise! Turns out I was able to manage my ankle much better than my pants, which I had to keep hiking up!
I'd taken every other pair to the cleaners for alterations, so this was the only pair I had, and when we got home I could just slide them right down without unzipping them!
I'm posting this to encourage all of the other "slow losers" to keep it up. Maybe I sound Eyeore-ish already, since I'm just starting on week 8, but I'm definitely seeing the slow down -- but as others have said -- check your inches.
This week, I lost almost a pound. I lost 10 pounds before surgery, Almost 16 pounds in month 1 and almost 12 pounds in month 2 (I am going to figure out how to put the monthly totals in my ticker!). So when I look at those totals, I don't feel that slow! But when we only see the scale starting to creep, it messes with your mind!
So, I just wanted to encourage the rest of slow and discouraged losers to keep it up. Step back and look at your total losses and see how far you've come. I know I've never done this well before in this amount of time. Let's banish the demons in our minds that keep whispering, "It's over. This is the best you'll do. Give it up." We KNOW they are wrong! There are plenty of great examples on this board of people who have had the same doubts and experiences -- and stalls or slow losses -- and have been successful.
We will keep to our plans, and we will be successful! Just keep telling yourself that until it drowns out the demons of self-doubt!

It's good to hear from other slow losers. I really celebrate with and for those people whose weight falls off them. I want all of us to succeed - but there are times I just can't read another post about someone losing a million pounds in a week. :0)

Wonderful success story. The scale can be such a liar, but pants? They always speak the truth!
