I'm not a big drinker anyway but once in awhile I do love a raspberry margarita when I go out which I won't be doing anytime soon.  However my surgeon said to be careful of drinking because the alcohol will hit you harder and faster with your new stomach.  So, tell me, does it??  LOL  Thanks for the help!!

The alcohol sure doe**** you harder & faster!  I used to be a social drinker (well I guess I still am) but I did give it up for my first 9 months after surgery (I should have waited a full year ).  It can be an easy transfer addiction so we all have to be careful; I cannot stressed it enough!!!  I have had my fair share of slips but I do my best to learn from them.  This new healthier lifestyle is something I have to adjust to on a daily basis but totally worth the hard work & dedication.

Best of luck to you with your sleeve!!!  Rock it!!!

I am so sorry Ms. Shell, but man I needed to hear that today, because I put shredded carrots in my cottage cheese salad because my NUT wants me to add more foods and they did not agree with me.  I didn't gain any weight but I just felt sluggish and down yesterday.  My weight loss has slowed down which in my head I know that had to happen but I just hate it.  The change in actual food and amount I am eating is not nearly as hard as the emotional roller coaster of dealing with why I ate and frankly I am in the helping professions so I even understand what I am going through but it is still awful.  So hang in there, the scale is just a number and you have been doing so great that you will take this off quickly...I just know it.  I have arthritis from my lymphedema as well and I know that pain can be tough so I'll say a prayer for you to have less pain.

B:  2 oz faux crab, quarter cup pudding with protein powder

L:  Cottage cheese salad with no carrots...lol

S:  Probably a fudgsicle or 2 oz crab

D:  Baked fish and baked squash and zucchini (let's hope this does better than the carrots...lol)

S:  Fudgsicle

W:  40 ounces so far will try to get that 64 in today

V:  done

Aww thank you.  I decided that my hip pain was NOT going to stop me...at least not right now =) so last night I fought through it and no matter what I LEARNED something...so I'll take that positive and run with it!!!  Thank you so much for the prayers =)

My first time posting my meals...since I just re-commited my accountability on MFP (add me! :) LexThaSongByrd), I'll try to post daily on here now too! :)

BREAKFAST- about 3 oz. of center cut bacon (14 grams of protein, 140 calories, 8 grams of fat); 1 peanut butter chocolate protein ball (courtesy of bariatricfoodie.com (my version of the recipe stats were 7 grams of protein, 75 calories, 10 carbs)

SNACK-no snack today (but i usually have about 4oz of greek yogurt)

LUNCH-half of 1 serving (a normal person serving) of my Taco Salad recipe (i ate the 1st half for lunch yesterday-it's a mix of lean ground beef/turkey, reduced fat mexican cheese, fage plain greek yogurt as my sour cream substitute, Ken's lite red winevinegar and olive oil dressing on a bed of raw spinach.  When i put it on MFP it was about 377 calories per 1 serving and 1/2 of that is a meal for me that still takes 30 min+ for me to finish, about 189 calories, 20 grams protein.

I have about 360 calories left for the day if I stay at 800 calories for the day.

DINNER-maybe a 4 oz filet of Tilapia with spinach (including dressing, a lil cheese, etc, it will be about 150-170 something calories)

S-i still have like 200 calories or so to spare, maybe greek yogurt  (or 100 calorie popcorn that will take me over my 40 carbs for the day) and another peanut butter chocolate protein ball

Son is still home with confirmed case of the flu. We all got Tamiflu because, apparently, the strain he managed to bring home isn't one that was in the vaccine this year. Sigh. So, yeah. Trying to work with him constantly asking me stuff is challenging.
