Big change in clothes, little change in weight!
Just a reminder, since coworkers who had RNY said they actually missed wearing some of the their smaller clothes! I have only lost 3 pounds in the past 2 weeks, and I had tried on old clothes a couple of weeks ago -- still too tight, etc.
Well after this conversation yesterday, and reading multiple posts about this -- I have 10 pairs of pants to take to the cleaners for alterations. Some just have to be hemmed (smaller sizes that I grew out of before hemming!) and some have to be taken in and hemmed -- they are so loose, that they are too long!
In my old job, I had to wear suits all the time, so I have lots of suit pants -- and even some of the smaller jackets are starting to be too big. But I am now just one size away from fitting into the smallest pants (18W). All of the 20Ws are loose -- and the 22 and 24s are the ones getting altered.
YAY! I actually don't have any pants smaller than the 18Ws -- I never got into misses sizes before.
I'll have to start scoping out the Goodwill store and consignment stores as soon as the spring stuff comes out! Or eBay!
I have an emotional attachment to clothes....I had a HARD time giving up the clothes I could no longer fit....but it DOES feel good to buy smaller sizes
you're probably losing inches instead of pounds... and/or, like me, Im losing UNevenly.. not so much in the middle but I hardly have anything more to lose up top and my legs are pretty thin now but my middle looks like it hasnt budged....makes for finding good fitting clothes, in your own closet or elsewhere pretty hard...
Goodwill stores are the BEST!! and mine now has 2 half price days each week.... Happy SHopping!!
I'm with you. I have some emotional attachment to my clothes, even though some of them are 2 sizes too big I still want to keep them.
