That dreaded 3 weeks stall!
How long does this stall usually last. So far I'm stalled 1 week. How long should I expect it to go on?

You are worrying about something that you should not be. Remember that it is during these wonderful stalls that your body plays catch up and you will start to loose inches in areas. These are the times that you should have your tape measure out and marvel at the inches disappearing even when the weight isn't.
This is also a time that you should practice the lost Art of Patience. Trust that as long as you stay on plan things will work out as they should.
Also it has been said that if you break from your usual post op diet by increasing water and protein intakes you should start to loose again. Personally I couldn't wait for the stalls. Give myself time to just sit back and relax and marvel at inches flying off. How can that be a bad thing?
Thanks for the positive comment! It's just a number just don't understand why the stall is so early out. When I used to do weigh****chers I don't remember stalling til like over 3 month out.

Actually for this surgery it is very very common to have a stall at three weeks out. As a matter of fact if you didn't stall at this point I would have been more worried.
I remember my first stall coming a little closer to 4 weeks but it came and I lost at least 2 inches in my waste.
There is a cycle which is really pretty cool ...
Loose weight initially fairly quickly ... weight loss slows ... then stalls and you loose inches ... then coming out of the stall you will loose quickly again ... and this will in turn slow down until you stall again ... so on and so on ...
What I did and do is to not have a scale at home. I have to go out somewhere to check my weight. This means I actually only get to see how I am doing every week or two. Doing this there was never a time where I saw my weight go up and then back down. I only saw the net downs ... this kept me going. Of course there were the stall times when I saw either the same weight or perhaps 1 pound lost in a weeks timeframe. I think checking weight so infrequently made my journey more enjoyable.
I think I did measure my waist/hips and arms when I was doing the liquid diet preop. So I'll measure at 4 weeks out next week and see if there's a difference. I'm only weighing 1 x a week even though I do have a scale. I don't want to drive myself crazy.

Calk, I wish I would've measured prior to my sleeve so I would have numbers to compare. I know there's a difference in how my clothes fit, so I know I've lost inches. I did finally find my measuring tape and record some numbers though.
