5+ Years- Thoughts on Regain

This is why I hope that newbies figure out why it is SO important to learn what triggers bad eating for each of us. Is it holiday comfort food that takes us back to our childhood? Is it reaction to stress that forces our hand to grab a chip? What is it? Being aware of our thoughts and feelings is a huge part of the battle - at least it is for me. I still have to figure out why I eat like crap when I'm at a party.

Whether you consider yourself addicted to food, carbs, etc or not - if you don't figure out what triggers your eating - or in some cases, drinking - your likelihood of regain is high, imo.

Thank you both for the healthy dose of reality.

Great post!

As a new sleever, one thing that I am learning is to figure out what my triggers are.

I am an emotional eater.  HUGELY.

My go to now when I meander to the fridge at unscheduled times is to grab a glass of water with lemon, or a cup of earl grey.  :)
