We were literally buried in snow here yesterday. Bleh.

B: 1/2 Bagel Thin w/ 1 tbsp. whipped chive cream cheese and 2 blackberries (Thought it would be an ok choice at only 75 calories, but sat in my stomach like a brick. Why oh why do I insist on trying bread products? It never works out. )

S: 1/2 cup coffee (with SF peppermint mocha creamer)

L: Went for Chinese, had spicy shredded beef without any rice or other sides. Also sat in my tummy like a rock.

S: 1 piece SF hard candy

D: Nectar chocolate truffle protein shake

S: Maybe some Fage w/ SF Torani, but feeling especially gross right now from previous food choices today. devil

Liquids: Working on it. The shredded beef at the Chinese restaurant is making me extremely thirsty.

Vits: Will take now.

Exercise:

If you want to have a little bread occasionally, try toasting it - and keep portions small. I can enjoy a smallish slice of toast with cheese or PB AS a meal or 1/2 slice as part of a meal, but untoasted bread sits just like a brick and bagels are especially bad because they're so dense.

Thanks for the tip. This was a brand called "Bagel Thins", which are a way thinner than actual bagels and are actually a little thinner than a typical slice of bread. I toasted it really well, it was almost a cracker-like consistency. I ate one side. Didn't matter for me. I didn't throw it up, which is a better reaction than I normally get to bread products, but it wasn't a pleasant feeling. Alas, I think I need to stop experimenting and just say farewell. Maybe I'll try again when I'm a year out.

Ah! I know the ones you mean. It's a shame it didn't work for you. Have you tried whole grain stuff? I find that white flour pretty much anything gets a thumbs down from Fred, but whole grains go over ok.

If no breads at all sit well I'd try again at a year too. That's my plan with edamame, which is the only food that still makes me puke. Sigh...
