Even though my insurance implemented a once in a lifetime WLS surgery policy, with the great advise and help for all here at OH, I now have a surgery date.

I was told by the insurance co while trying to revise from a band to a sleeve that they were changing the policy. I would not be allowed to revise to another surgery. Do to 2.5 years of medical issues they would cover the band removal only. I was devastated! With encouragement from all here I fought and was approved due to medical reasons to have a VSG.

On January 22 I will be joining all of you here!

BAND REMOVED 9-4-12-fought insurance to get sleeve and won! Sleeved 1/22/13! Five years out and trying to get that last 15 pounds back off.

Thanks Bob! It went slow but at least it went. I still won't believe I made it until the insurance pays the bill.

As the other two have left, Dr Farhan is the only one left. The funny thing is they used to hay one seminar a month with each surgeon doing every third one. Now they are having a seminar every WEEK with Dr Farhan doing them all! It really is like getting the original Surgeon consult for free. He is also a big NON-fan of the Band. Hopefully he talks all out of the band and to the sleeve or other.
