LOL - Bringing injury-prone to a new level!
I have posted about my many injuries that in the past have prevented me from exercising -- most recently Achilles tendonitis that mean I had to wear a gray stormtrooper boot on my big 30th wedding anniversary cruise in the Mediterranean.
The tendonitis is doing pretty good, bothered me a little after my dance and aqua Zumba last week, but pretty much OK. Well, I had an appt with my neurologist yesterday and she was doing her usual exam. I hadn't mentioned the tendonitis, because the main medical event was my surgery last month.
So she's doing my reflexes, and wham -- she ha**** the knot at the base of my ankle with her trusty hammer! I had my knee high trouser socks on, so she couldn't see the knot -- but I let out a yelp and gasped, Achillees tendonitis! She was mortified! But not her fault. I didn't tell her, and she couldn't see the knot!
I'm still feeling it today, and we had to skip dance class. Now I've moved from injuring myself in water aerobics (and walking -- that's how I got the Achilles tendonitis) to getting injured during my medical exam!
Maybe I should look for a seated exercise program! LOL!
Back to water Zumba tomorrow. Hopefully I won't find a new way to hurt myself!
