I am a Weight Loss Machine! Thanks Elina!

Once again, Elina has written words that motivate!  I was all whiny yesterday and worrying about this or that, and she kindly responded.  But it was Elina's response to another poster today that really hit home -- she said that during the losing phase, she focusing on adhering to her plan and being a weight loss machine!

Though that conjures up some hilarious (in my mind!) cartoons of petite and lovely Elina transformed into a fat-burning "take no prisoners" weapon of fat destruction -- it struck a chord with me.

Does whatever I want to eat fuel the fat burning machine or does it slow the fat burning machinery down?  That's the core question that I will now ask myself.  It gives me such a more vivid image than "Should I have this piece of whatever?"

Thanks!

I am glad you liked that and it motivated you.  It is also really the way I looked at the weight loss stage.  Nothing was going to go into my mouth that did not maximize my loss. Nothing was worth it and every food was scrutinized from this perspective.  That's what I signed up for when I went with my doctor's program.  The losing phase is a relatively short part of our life, why not step on the gas and give it our all?  I loved the emotional high I got from my perspective.  I felt like a hero of my own journey.  It was an awesome experience to really be able to go to conquer my food demons while learning new habits and stretching what I thought I could do.  It empowered me in other areas of my life as well.  I say go for it, go for it 100%.
