Went Back to Dance Class! Tomorrow Aqua Zumba!
Well, I'm finally getting a bit more exercise than walking the dog and walking around at my office complex. DH and I went to a refresher dance class that reviewed salsa, swing, cha cha and merengue. It will meet for the next three Friday nites. It's really low key, and we took out first group lessons with this instructor 6 or 7 years ago, so it was fun to go back!
Since I started gaining weight back, dancing and all exercise got to be very hard because I kept injuring myself. So I couldn't get back into regular activity because I'd have to rest or have limited mobility with one injury after another!
I made it through class with no injuries! And tomorrow I'm headed to Aqua Zumba -- which I've never done, but sounds like fun! Let's hope for the best there (really, last time I did water aerobics I hurt my Achilles, and ended up in a knee boot for six weeks! I have a special gift!)
That's exciting! It's great that you are able to get back to something you love to do which also happens to be good exercise. Please take care of yourself, though, so you can keep going and having fun!
I love Zumba! And aqua zumba??? sign me up. I dont think they have that around these parts. Sounds fun! I wish I could do aqua zumba right now! :)
