Onederland-a place I truly never thought I'd be :)

I will admit, I stood on the scale and cried this morning.

198 pounds.

Complete and total awe, wonder, amazement, gratitude, disbelief, everything rolled into one...

I honestly, for the life of me, can't remember the last time I was under 200 pounds; maybe pre-middle school?  I was an early developer so I think it might have been pre-puberty, which was about 25 years ago LOL

I thank God every single day for the opportunity to have this life-changing, life-altering, life-saving surgery.  I never really knew life could be this good.  I feel the need to do a special thank you to Shelli at The World According to Eggface and Nikki at Bariatric Foodie - their recipes saved me and gave me the inspiration to shake things up.  I'm a baker, love nothing more than making something sweet to share with people, and with their help, I have been able to continue to do that, all the while sharing healthy, protein-filled treats with people who think they are simply getting a goodie :)

Thank you also to everyone on this board who has encouraged me, whether it's been through a post of mine you responded to or simply posting your own feelings/fears out there for me to read.  We are on our own but are truly in this together.
