i love it

i love reading your guys' posts. It gives me such hope for my future. Im so excited that ive finally decided to go for it and all of you guys make me feel like ive made the right choice. I absolutely cannot wait to be where you guys are. Congrats to everyone of you!!

Where are you in your journey?   I'm scheduled for November 23rd and could not be more excited!  I saw you were from MN and I'm not sure what part your from-- but we have a support group that meets every saturday alternating between Eagan and Burnsville at 8:30am.  I started going in August and the group has been so helpfull and supportive along the way.  I'd like to invite you to join us anytime..  this saturday is burnsville mall panera bread.  We're a fun, non-intimidating group that is always welcome to new faces!

I have taken the class and now im waiting for my packet to come in the mail, then i will fill it out and send it back and set up my appt with the dr. So i havent been approved or even had anything sent in yet, but i did call my insurance and everything would be covered with a dr.'s recommendation. I live in Minneapolis.

Exciting and scary all at the same time --right?!? Good for you for taking the initiative.  I think the first step of bringing it up to my primary was the hardest part at the beginning.  You should be able to get a list of support groups from your surgical group... I got one at my initial group consult with Abott.  Groups are such a great way to hear first hand what life is like post-WLS.  The first meeting I showed up to I asked a million questions-- still do!  It is truly inspirational to see first hand how peoples lives have been transformed after making this decision.  As you can tell-- it was a really important part of my journey.  You are more than welcome to come anytime...  :)

Im excited for you! Your starting bmi is close to what mine was. In 6 months I have gone from a size 24 to a 14. I know this is supposed to be about being healthier... And it is...but dang it feels nice to be normal fat! It is very exciting to not be the largest person in the room. Even though I am happily married it feels fantastic to have men notice me and not say things like you have such a pretty face.... It feels fantastic to shop in the non plus side of the store. I love my sleeve! Best of luck to you. You have so much to look forward to!

that is all the stuff im excited about! i went shopping this weekend and just looked at the non plus size side and daydreamed, i cant wait! I also didnt buy myself anything new because i know that ill be dropping those pounds soon!
