Weekly Challenge - mid week check in

Time to see how everyone is doing with their daily or weekly goals


I started the week out hoping not to eat out this week - but work functions have required me to eat out twice already!!  But, I didnt voluntarily go - so that counts?    The good news is I made the most out of it, and made good choices and didn't go crazy.

Ive gotten a little bit of work done this week -taken care of a few stressers and hope to take care of a couple more today. I made myself get re-organized at home last night so I don't lose focus.

My last goal was to limit my coffee - and I've so far done well with that and have only had coffee 1-2 times a day.


Overall, this week has been really good - staying under my calorie goal, eating a lot of protein, got a little exercise in. I'm hoping to just finish the week strong.

My big goal for this week is to just not freak out on the scale.  

 

I completely underestimated how much swelling I would have - even two weeks out.  They took 7.5 lbs of skin and I am retaining between 7.5 - 10 lbs of water.  I moved my target weight down to 183 to account for the skin removal so my new maintenance range is 188-178.  For the first time in weeks I have been at goal weight and not under it.  For some reason that makes me a little uncomfortable.

I know, I know, I know its not fat - but not being able to exercise fully makes me nervous.

 

Deep breath in, Deep breath out.  Repeat.

I didn't start weighing again until the drains starting coming out.

Its crazy that I can feel my body change throughout the day - just in how my clothes fit.  At one point my pants will be falling off of me - two hours later they are tight.

My surgeon doesn't use compression garments to keep the swelling down.  He thinks they actually impede healing by restricting blood flow too much.  Yours may be different and you may be wrapped in spanx head to toe.  I know what it is and its going to get better.  I just try to be content with that.

OK...geezuz, I always forget my goals which isn't good.  I did great yesterday, yay!!!

Maybe I am just taking things day by day right now ... so far so good.

 Still have my scale obsession - so yeah - that failed. 

Water - been pretty good on til last night.  I was running all day - I grabbed water where I could - but barely made my 8 cups in throughout the day.  

I can't remember my third, if there was one. 

Looking forward to this weekend and shopping with my three beautiful friends!!  Bring on the dresses, jeans and handbags!!!

I've been going to bed a little bit earlier, but not before 11am...really need to try to do this.  Sleeping has never been my strong suit...I will continue to work on it.

 I finished week five of C25K and start week six tomorrow. Only weight trained once so far, but will go twice more by Sunday. I registered for my first 5K, an event in March called the Dirty Girl Mud run. Looks freaking awesome, and I'm super excited!

Well, since this is my last week off work, I need to rest as much as I can. My energy level is still pretty crappy, so I need to rest when I can. Well, I'm still working on this one. With Mike dealing with his vertigo, he has needed some help. Now that he is doing better, we'll see what the rest of the week brings.

Work on getting more protein from real food. This is going well. I haven't needed a second protein shake most of the week.

Try on the work appropriate clothes in the closet to figure out what I can wear to work when I go back. Wow, I don't have much that fits. I picked up a few items at yard sales and thrift stores, but most of it is still a bit too small. These items will fit soon, but I have limited options for right now.

Make a hotel reservation for the night of the big party. It will be way to late to drive home. I better get this done.
