Snacking...HELP!

Why, Why does it seem like I cant get that under control.  I lost 100 as of 9-27-12 Its been 14 days and I'm down another 6lbs... I know I'm doing this to myself and if I don't get it under control really what was the point of me doing this whole journey.  Does anyone else that is at least 6 months out have trouble at times with this.  I do think it has to do that Ive been on Vacation this week and been home and bored so Ive been eating stuff like Cheese, Crackers, Some Chips (once) Rice Cakes with Cheese mainly CHEESE .  I have been Exercising a great deal actually Running which I think I over did it yesterday as my knees were really hurting... Running outside is soooo much different than the Treadmill! Lesson Learned I'm not there yet to be doing that outside like a PRO! Can any of you give me a few pointers. What do you do instead of snacking when your board??

 I've tried drinking a lot of  water or sugar free hot apple cider that has helped a lot. I really don't think the ppi helps at all even though ppl  on this forum swears by it.

 Yeah Im not taking a PPI, Do you think I should be maybe thats what the problem is I cant say if it works or not b/c Im not taking one or any Vit at that!   I have my 6 month ck-up next week Im going to tell the Doc that the only way I can do vit is to start taking Pills!!

 I'm not too sure about the ppi... But I log my food for the day and if itis gone early then that is it.. I even try to eat 1/2 protein bar and break it down in small pieces so I'm not eating it all at once.

This is where the rubber hits the road, right? At least for me it is... snacking/grazing is my new binging. I have to watch it CONSTANTLY.

Do you log? I make myself log it BEFORE I eat it. All of a sudden those crackers don't seem too appetizing, ya know?

You can do this... for me, it's mental. I blogged about my own mental breakdown over the past month, but I have food issues. Heck, we all do, I'd bet. Learning to rein them is in where the real work starts, ya know?

 It is easy for me to graze also.  If I feel like it is getting out of control at all I eliminate the grazing foods from home and work as much as possible.  I have a clear pattern though- easy to grab items that are prepackaged in small quantities.  Perhaps try identifying what you are grazing on and get rid of it.  Or, if you know you are going to snack just plan for it and make it low cal and healthy items that won't undermine your process.  This has been working for me, at least so far.

 Kays Natural protein cookies- cinnamon
Kays natural protein chips- different flavors
half calorie crackers by fibergourmet different flavors
Kays natural cinnamon pretzle thingys- can't remember the actual name

The crackers have a original that is good with cheese (a favorite snace with Trader Joe lite Jarlsberg).  I like the cinnamon when craving something a little sweeter.

 When I start snacking or want to snack, I knit, crochet, take the dog for a walk, call or text a friend, best thing that helps, I put in my bite splint I wear at night so I do not grind my teeth.  Once I brush my teeth and put that in, I only allow myself water.  

I keep reminding myself that one of the ways sleevers gain weight back is grazing.  Must keep that in check or calories will sky rocket.  Can be a slippery slope for me, so I try and avoid it as much as possible.

I do think this is something that we will have to work with our entire life..this is a lifetime journey!  I am almost 2 1/2 years out and deal with this now more than ever. You for sure get hungrier.  I still take a PPI twice a day...so I believe it it.  A few weeks ago I had strugled with this very issue and the scale started to show...so I got back to basics!  And prepare for snacks.  I bring lots of veggies to snack on at work with rice vinegar.  (tomatoes, cucbumers with the skin, and peppers are my favorite).  And at night I ordered more of that high protein hot chocolate.  I used it early on and stopped because it is so expensive but I decided to order it again because it really helps me with the night time hunger.  And drink the water!!...lots of it!
