Staying Power - An 8 Month Update
I might not be the person you need to answer your question since I was a lightweight and reached goal in 6.5 months, but on the other hand, motivation is motivation and I needed that and still do to keep me at goal 3.5 years later. So here is what I would do: I would take the before picture and put it right next to the one of you with your son on the refrigerator. I would also make very concrete, short term goals for myself for the fall/winter months. I would put the dots really close together. Make the goals S.M.A.R.T. goals. That stands for Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Timely. Do not just say I will follow my program, get really clear with yourself with what that means, write it down and commit to it for a specific time frame. Set mini goals and rewards ( non food related) all the way to New Year. You can do this, you can ring in the new year being close to goal and rocking that New Year's dress. I want pictures when you get there. :)
